About the Role

A Home Health Virtual Assistant provides administrative support to home health providers and agencies. This role involves scheduling appointments, coordinating caregivers, managing patient records, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and confirm patient appointments and caregiver visits
• Coordinate caregiver schedules and availability
• Manage and maintain patient records and documentation
• Handle insurance verification and authorization processes
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers
• Process billing and payment coordination
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

Requirements

• Medical background required
• Medical assistant experience preferred or required
• Knowledge of home health operations and terminology
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience with healthcare scheduling software preferred
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
